Having displayed an excellent batting performance in the second One Day International (ODI), the young lot may again be preferred over experienced Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Hafeez in today’s game.

The third ODI of five-match series between Pakistan and England will kick off shortly at Bristol County Ground.

Shoaib Malik has rejoined the squad after a 10-day break whereas Mohammad Hafeez has also almost fully recovered from his injury, and begun participating in net practice sessions. However, Mohammad Amir’s availability in the ODIs is still awaited as he is now dealing with a viral infection, Chickenpox.

But surely Pakistan would make some adjustments in the bowling unit, and most likely to include Junaid Khan in the third ODI in place of Yasir Shah.

England would also reportedly replace Adil Rashid with Joe Denly, and James Vince with Jos Buttler.

Jos Buttler ripped apart Pakistani bowling lineup in the second ODI, and smashed unbeaten 110 runs with nine massive sixes. For the next game, he is being rested.

But Adil Rashid didn’t enjoy a great time with the ball in the previous match as he conceded 81 runs off his 10 overs, and picked up only one wicket. He would be replaced by another leg break bowler Joe Denly.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan is playing at Bristol today for the second time only. Earlier Pakistan played at this very venue against West Indies, when they met on May 16, 1999 in a group match of the ICC Cricket World Cup.

Pakistan won that match by 27 runs.
