Earlier last night, Peshawar Zalmi beat Karachi Kings in a nail-biting contest at National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.

Batting first, Peshawar Zalmi put 199 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

For Peshawar, Tom Kohler-Cadmore smashed 92 runs off just 50 balls with 6 sixes and 7 fours. Babar Azam scored 68 runs off 46 balls.

In reply, Karachi Kings scored 197, falling short of just 2 run to bag a victory.

They had lost their four top batsmen for just 44 runs and later Shoaib Malik and Imad Wasim built a 131-run partnership to make a comeback.

Shoaib Malik scored 52 runs before he lost his wicket to Wahab Riaz. While his partner Imad Wasim remained not out on 80.

In the end, Karachi could score 197 for 5. Peshawar’s Wahab Riaz and James Neesham were the leading wicket takers with 2 wicket each.
