Pakistan vs England 2nd Test Match
Pakistan’s woes continue as their mainline bowlers have suffered injuries during the ongoing three-match Test series against England.
After Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf found himself ruled out of remaining two matches and now Naseem Shah has also sustained a niggle in his right shoulder and remains doubtful for the second Test against England in Multan.

In their absence, Mohammad Wasim Jr might make a Test debut or the bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf will return to the playing XI.
Whereas England, which already lead the series 1-0, will see the fast bowler Mark Wood back in the side for the Multan Test, replacing Liam Livingstone.
Pakistan lost the first Test in Rawalpindi by 74 runs, and suffered the second consecutive defeat at home.
In 2022, Pakistan have so far played six Test matches – four at home and two away. They won one Test at Galle against Sri Lanka in July but are yet to win a Test match at home this year.

In Multan, it will be the second Test match between Pakistan and England at the venue. In the previous match played on November 12-16, 2005, Pakistan sealed a 22-run victory.
Commenting on Multan pitch ahead of the second Test match, Pakistan Captain Babar Azam said “The pitch in Multan looks dry and it seems as if it will assist the spinners. Due to the dry nature of the pitch, reverse swing will also come into play. We are focused on our spinners.”
