The torrential rains have already inflicted a significant dent to the Pakistan-West Indies T20 Series especially in the context of their preparations for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021 in UAE. (PTV Sports Live)

Initially, the scheduled five-match bilateral series dealt a blow when it was slashed by one match to accommodate an ODI between West Indies and Australia. Later, the woes were further exacerbated when an unabated spell of rain washed out the first and third T20I between Pakistan and West Indies.

Merely, just one full T20 match has so far been held yielding a result since Pakistan landed in the Caribbean.

With a 1-0 lead in the series, Pakistan has obviously already escaped a series loss; rather, another win in the last T20 at Providence on Tuesday would add one more triumph in the bucket of their series victory in the Caribbean.

However, the last game also stands at the mercy of the weather as the rain interruption remains a major concern.

For the fourth T20, Pakistan may carry on with the same squad, the one which they had in the last washed-out game. But with an exception, a fully-fit Azam Khan may make it to the playing XI in replacement of Sohaib Maqsood.

From West Indies, the inclusion of injured Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis in today’s game is unlikely; therefore, they may stick to an unchanged side.

Andre Fletcher, who was bowled out by Mohammad Hafeez on 0 in the sole full 20-over game at Providence on July 31, was off to a blistering start in the third T20 smashing two sixes off the bowling of Hafeez and Mohammad Wasim before the rain interrupted. He again would be opening for West Indies along with Chris Gayle in the last contest.
