LONDON: Pakistan were 214 runs for 8 in their second innings at the end of first Test’s third-day play on Saturday at Lord’s, taking a lead of 281 runs against England. With Yasir Shah and Muhammad Amir in the crease with 30 and 0 runs respectively, Pakistan still has two wickets in hand and would try to score as many as they could to put maximum pressure on England while chasing in their second innings.

In the second innings, Asad Shafiq and Sarfaraz Ahmed were the two top scorers for Pakistan with 49 and 45 runs respectively. Younis Khan scored 25 runs, Shan Masood 24 and Azhar Ali 23. For England, Chris Woakes again proved to the best bowler as it happened in the first innings. Woakes picked up 5 wickets for only 31 runs. Moeen Ali took 2 wickets whereas Stuart Broad bagged one wicket. Earlier, England were all out for 272 runs in their first innings. Yasir Shah grabbed six wickets while Muhammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, and Rahat Ali took one wicket each.
