Asia Cup 2022 Afghanistan vs Bangladesh T20

Following an emphatic victory over Sri Lanka, Afghanistan will now face Bangladesh in Asia Cup 2022 on Tuesday night at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Currently, in ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings, Bangladesh is just ahead of Afghanistan by one place as they stand at 9th and 10th places respectively.

In bilateral T20 International contests, Afghanistan has an edge over Bangladesh. Out of eight T20Is having been played so far between them since March 16, 2014, Afghanistan won 5 and Bangladesh sealed victory in 3 matches.

One T20I between them scheduled at Mirpur on September 24, 2019 was washed out by rain.

So far two matches have been played in Asia Cup 2022. In the first T20 at Dubai on August 27, Afghanistan outplayed Sri Lanka while on the following day, India beaten Pakistan by five wickets at the same venue.
