PTI’s local politician, two guards killed in Dera Ismail Khan blast

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan: At least three persons were killed in a blast that occurred on Maddi road in Kulachi tehil of Dera Ismail Khan on Monday.

The sources said that those killed in the blast included a former provincial election candidate for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Faqir Jamshed and his two guards.

The bomb, planted along a roadside, was triggered by a remote control when Jamshed’s vehicle was passing through the area.

Following the blast, a large contingent of police reached the area, cordoned it off and launched an investigation into the incident.
