ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its ally Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) have agreed to cope with the negative propaganda of the opposition.

The understanding was reached with the PML-Q leadership held a meeting with the Prime Minister and the Chairman PTI Imran Khan in Islamabad on Friday and exchanged views on prevailing political situation in the Country.

   

The PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, and the Member National Assembly Moonis Elahi held the discussion with the prime minister.

The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Affairs Naeem-ul-Haq was also present.

During the meeting, they stressed the need to enhance cooperation between PTI and PML-Q to cope with the negative approach of the opposition after a noose was tightened around its leaders for their alleged involvement in corrupt practices.

The Sindh Governor Imran Ismail also met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad and discussed matters relating to Sindh province.

Meanwhile a separate meeting held with his Advisor Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam and the Director General International Renewable Energy Agency (IREA) Adnan Amin, the prime minister stressed the need to promote afforestation and renewable energy to cope with the climate change challenges.

The prime minister said that Pakistan has abundant natural resources like solar, water, and wind, which can be used for renewable energy in the Country. He said that Pakistan wants to become part of the revolution in renewable energy sector.
