PTI, JUI-F seek Khyber Pakhtunkhwa helm

Elections 2013PTI, JUI-F seek Khyber Pakhtunkhwa helm

PESHAWAR: Different political parties have started throwing out tentacles for the formation of government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa right after the mist cleared about the party position in the province.

Having emerged as the largest party in the province, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf began liaising with like-minded parties to lead the coalition government in the province. On the other side, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) also looked forward to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for the government formation.

Falling short of simple majority, PTI underscored that it will prefer sitting in the opposition, but, it will not opt for horse trading for the purpose of government formation. However, the party will seek support for the purpose from the parties in sync with the PTI’s manifesto and agenda, according to Shaukat Yousufzai, General Secretary PTI.

The JUI-F, seeking to poke hurdles in PTI’s way ahead, is attempting an alliance with the PML-N to drive its way into the corridors of power.
