TourismPTDC to set up new Tourists Information Centers at various airports

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is making efforts to setup new Tourists Information Centers (TICs) at various airports in the Country.

Talking to the state-run news agency in Islamabad, the Managing Director PTDC Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan said that the visiting international and domestic tourists would be provided with the facility of hotel and transport booking upon arrival at the airports.

The managing director PTDC said that the staff of TICs would provide latest information about hotels, transport and resorts. He said the tourists also can avail the facility of transport available with PTDC to various areas including northern areas of the Country.

Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that TICs also provide basic information to make travel more enjoyable including details on events and ticket reservations and guidebooks.

The managing director said these Centres will be refurnished with modern facilities and equipment with attractive outlook with a view to portray tourism face of the Country.

Furthermore, he said that PTDC was in process of development of centralized booking and reservation system for all PTDC facilities spread throughout the Country.
