Following report was posted prior to the commencement of PSL 8th match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars

The two teams right at the bottom of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2017 Points Table Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars will play the eighth match of the tournament at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday night.

Karachi Kings is yet to register its first win in the PSL 2017 as in both of its previous two T20s, Kumar Sangakkara-led Side lost to Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

In PSL 2017 Points Table, three teams including Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United have equally 4 points after playing three matches each; however due to having a better net run rate, Zalmi is at the top.

Karachi Kings’ Chris Gayle from West Indies has so far been unable to find his form as his score has been 2 and 10 in previous games. The Captain Kumar Sangakkara is also out of touch.

Earlier last night, Islamabad United won the match against Quetta Gladiators in Dubai by 5 wickets. Islamabad United’s Sam Billings received the player of the match award for scoring unbeaten 78 runs.
