GUJRANWALA: Unidentified gunmen opened fire in an Imambargah located in Shahrukh Colony in Gujranwala early Saturday, killing at three persons including the Imam of Imambargah.

Two more persons were killed in another incident of firing when unknown gunmen fired gunshots with a silencer fitted pistol at another Imambargah located in Mominpur areas and managed to escape.

After the firing incidents, the heirs of victims and enraged people staged a protest demonstration by putting bodies on the street at Alam Chowk Bypass.

The angry protesters also burnt tyres, chanted slogans. Local shops, markets and other business activities were closed after the protests.
