Islamabad: Prime Minister Youth Skill Development Program (PMYSDP) received 71,555 applications. According to government of Pakistan 71,555 applications were received from the youth all over the country to get admission in Technical Education and Vocational training.

Applications received from AJK are 603, Baluchistan 6,320, FATA 2,740, Gilgit Baltistan 423, Islamabad 381, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 18,430, Sindh 17,089 and from Punjab 25,569. Whereas total 25,000 youth will be selected for imparting technical and vocational training.

The interview process is going on throughout the country for final selection which will be completed on 7th May 2014. The classes will be started on 12th May 2014. Area wise final selected youth for training will be: 200 from Islamabad, 500 from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, 300 from Gilgit Baltistan, 400 from FATA, 3,000 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 2,000 from Baluchistan, 5,850 from Sindh and 12,750 from Punjab. Out of total these 25,000 youth to be trained: 8,524 female youth will be given technical & vocational training.

Region wise breakup of 8,524 female youth to be selected for training is 40 from AJ&K, 110 from Gilgit Baltistan, 825 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 547 from Baluchistan, 2,699 from Sindh and 4,303 from Punjab. Likewise Regionwise breakup of 12,750 Male Youth to be selected is: 200 from Islamabad, 460 from Azad Jammu & Kashmir, 190 from Gilgit Baltistan, 400 from FATA, 2175 from KPK, 1453 from Baluchistan, 3151 from Sindh and 8447 from Punjab.

These admissions are totally free as there is neither admission fee nor monthly fee of these courses. Moreover toolkits in 27 selected trades will also be provided free of cost to trainees after completion of their course. The duration of these courses will be from 4 to 6 months including one month on job training. Moreover eunuchs will be given priority in admissions whereas 10% quota for special persons has been allocated.
