ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the government is cognizant of the deprivation of the people of Balochistan and taking practical steps on a priority basis to remove them.

He was talking to the Minister for Anti-Narcotics Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti who called on him in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the minister apprised the prime minister about the details of operations to control Cholera epidemic in Pir Koh area of Dera Bugti and appreciated the Prime Minister’s interest in the issue and extending immediate assistance to the victims of this epidemic.

The prime minister directed to ensure the provision of clean drinking to the local people and evolve a comprehensive strategy for prevention of any such incident in future.

Shahbaz Sharif also lauded the efforts of the federal and the provincial institutions specially doctors and paramedical staff for controlling the Cholera epidemic in the area.
