Islamabad, Pakistan: Today, Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamer Farooq directed the authorities to provide facilities to Chairman PTI Imran Khan as per rules in Adiala Jail where he had been shifted from Attock Jail. The Justice also ordered to provide a personal attendant to Imran Khan in jail.
It is pertinent to mention that PTI’s trolling team has been slurring Justice Aamer Farooq in the past who refused to provide blanket bails to Imran Khan that he had been enjoying from the Supreme Court and even from Islamabad High Court in the past. After Justice Aamer Farooq refused blanket bail to Imran Khan, he (Imran Khan) submitted a petition to the Supreme Court Pakistan to transfer all of his cases being adjudicated in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to either Lahore High Court or Peshawar High Court, accusing Justice Aamer Farooq of “deep and settled bias”.
In his petition, Imran Khan called his conviction a “cooked up and fabricated charge” and blamed the IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq for this “injustice”
The kind of dirty propaganda against Justice Aamer Farooq by the social media team of Tehreek-e-Insaaf was unprecedented and that continued for months. Today, it is Justice Amir Farooq’s court, thanks to which Chairman PTI has been transferred from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail. So, will Tehreek-e-Insaaf apologize today, or will their lawyers express no confidence?
Justice Aamer Farooq has given 26 out of 27 decisions in favor of PTI on various occasions and these decisions are considered by PTI as the decisions of the constitution and law, but the decisions that are against the wishes of PTI are criticized. Isn’t this a blatant contradiction? Is the law subject to the wishes of PTI or is it subject to the constitution of Pakistan? Who will decide that?
PTI used exceptionally filthy language against Justice Aamir Farooq and called his decision of refusing blanket bail to Imran Khan as bulldozing justice, biased and one-sided judgment, politically motivated, fixed match, and murder of justice.
Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club (NPC) in Islamabad, the leader of the PTI legal team Shoaib Shaheen flanked by Barrister Gohar Khan and Naeem Haider Panjutha, said that the verdict in the Toshakhana case against Imran Khan was totally wrong and one-sided. Shoaib Shaheen said that the decision against Imran Khan was nothing but a fixed match, as it was their right to defend and present witnesses.
After today’s decision of transferring Imran Khan to Rawalpindi from Attock and providing servant by the same judge as per rules has not been appreciated by the PTI till the filling of this report. Such conduct of PTI suggests that it always manipulates events and abuses judges when they refuse to bow down to PTI’s filthy media campaigns and follow the law. Will PTI leadership tender its apology to Justice Aamer Farooq who had been the target of its slur brigade or will keep quiet and wait to find any other judgment that would be according to law but would not suit the PTI leadership?
