PoliticsWhole Pakistan is suffering from conspiracy hatched against me: Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said conspiracy was not being hatched against him; rather, it was against the whole Country.

In a meeting with lawyers at which he discussed his appearance before the Accountability Court and legal matters, Nawaz Sharif said there had been a fake case against him, and everything was happening under a big plan.

The PML-N leader reiterated his stance that no evidence was found against him, stressing that opponents hadn’t succeeded to prove a single rupee of corruption against him.

“I remained the prime minister thrice, if there was any corruption it would have been proven,” Nawaz Sharif said.

Nawaz Sharif said he wanted supremacy of the Constitution and law in Pakistan. “I want to restore the dignity of vote,” he added.

Earlier in the morning, Nawaz Sharif along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif and son-in-law Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar appeared before the Accountability Court’s judge Muhammad Bashir for hearing of Avenfield property references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Sharif family.

Later talking to media, Nawaz Sharif again grumbled about the victimization he was suffering him while Maryam Nawaz said Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report’s whole crux was in the Volume 10. She said the JIT Volume 10 was presented as the biggest prove. “JIT report is destroyed,” she added.
