ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said they would not back off from the issue of the Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, adding whenever had been happening wasn’t even seen in a dictator’s rule.
“What can be more worse than the current circumstances,” Nawaz Sharif said while holding an informal talks with journalists when he arrived at the Accountability Court in Islamabad for hearing of references against Sharif family.
Nawaz Sharif said they had summoned a meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Central Executive Committee (CEC) to discuss the issue of the Chairman NAB. He said it was not a minor rather a serious issue.
Moreover, he said he was deprived of premiership and disqualified from the party presidentship for lifetime but those who had been doing all that need to think about the Country.
The former prime minister will preside over a session of PML-N’s CEC at the Punjab House after his appearance before the Accountability Court.
The federal ministers and important leaders of PML-N will participate in the meeting.
The meeting will review the current national political situation. It will also consult PML-N’s future strategy and election campaign.
