PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday said they would merge Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa immediately after winning the general elections.
“I will fight for the Rights of FATA and its people,” Imran Khan said while addressing the Youth of FATA at the PTI FATA Convention in Peshawar.
Imran Khan said every year Rs 100 billion would be spent on the development of FATA. He said mega projects would be started in the tribal region.
“FATA people will have an equal say in the decisions taken regarding FATA,” he said.
The Chairman PTI said they had formed a Committee which forwarded recommendations for reforms in FATA.
“I will talk to the Army Chief over the issue of tribal areas,” Imran Khan said.
Furthermore, Imran Khan said all political parties were agreed on FATA reforms but reforms were stopped on directions of Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman.
Imran Khan said the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif would be thinking that how they could make more money.
The Chairman PTI expressed hope that public would give vote to the PTI and it would form next the government.
