ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has nominated Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar as the Chief Minister Punjab.

Hailding from Taunsa Sharif – a Tehsil in Punjab’s Dera Ghazi Khan District – Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar was elected as member of the Punjab Assembly from PP-286 in general elections 2018.

In Pervez Musharraf’s ear, he also remained as the Nazim of Taunsa Tehsil.

In a video message, the Chairman PTI Imran Khan said that Usman Buzdar belongs to the most backward area of Punjab, and he knows that how poor people dwell their lives.

“I am appointing Sardar Usman Bozdar as CM Punjab because he belongs to an area of Punjab which is backward and have lots of troubles I hope he will work to his best,” the Chairman PTI said.

The Leader of the Punjab Assembly will be elected on Sunday when the House will meet at 11:00 am.

The nomination papers for the election of the Chief Minister Punjab can be submitted at the Assembly Secretariat till 5:00 pm on Saturday.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has nominated Hamza Shahbaz for the Chief Minister Punjab.
