PoliticsTahir-ul-Qadri will never succeed in sabotaging democracy: Hamza Shahbaz

LAHORE, Pakistan: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz on Thursday said that those who came especially from Canada to sabotage democracy in Pakistan would never succeed in their designs.

His remarks were in apparent reference to Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PTI) Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri who has consistently been pressurizing the Punjab government to bring those involved in 2014 Model Town massacre into justice.

While talking to the media after visiting the Walled City in Lahore, Hamza Shahbaz said that no doubt that the Model Town incident was a sad one and now it was in the Court. However, he added that those trying to do politics on dead bodies would be disappointed as people were now aware of facts.

Hamza said that let the people decided the next government through their votes and the masses would rightly decide.

The PML-N leader said the continuity of democracy and holding of in time elections would be a success of all political parties.

“We all should go for the fresh mandate in 2018 as the masses will decide who is eligible,” he added.

Hamza Shahbaz said that people gave mandate to Nawaz Sharif who had fulfilled all his promises including ending load shedding to bring peace and prosperity in the Country. He said the present government had put the Country on path to progress and people were satisfied with performance of the PML-N while other parties did nothing for common man.

Earlier, Hamza Shahbaz visited the residences of party workers Farkhanda Malik and Shabeer Bhola and offered Fateha.

The PML-N Lahore Secretary Information Imran Ali Goraya and Political Secretary Kabeer Taaj were also present among many other party workers who chanted slogans and gave a warm welcome to Hamza Shahbaz in the Walled City.
