PoliticsShahbaz Sharif slams Imran Khan for telling lies, levelling accusations

LAHORE, Pakistan: Lambasting the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the former has made world records of telling lies and levelling accusations.

In a statement in Lahore, Shahbaz Sharif said that the people of Pakistan and specially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have become fed up of Imran Khan’s lies and U Turns.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Punjab government has made records by completing the developmental projects in shortest period of time. He said that Punjab has been on the top of the list for using information technology and its promotion. He said that development in the field of education, health, infrastructure and other sectors is self-exemplary.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that all the steps taken by the PML-N’s Punjab government reflect public welfare and prosperity.

Shahbaz said that in the 2018 general elections, the dharna group will have to face embarrassment.

His statement arrived after Imran Khan on Thursday denounced Shahbaz Sharif for his alleged involvement in extra judicial killings in Punjab.

In one of his tweets, Imran Khan cited a report, which mentioned that more than 850 suspected criminals had been killed by the Punjab police since the PML-N government took over the province in 1997.

The PTI Chief also also referred to a statement of former Encounter Specialist Abid Boxer in which the latter admitted to have received orders from the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for killing people extra judicially in the past.
