PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday said the party’s Provincial President Amir Muqam would be the next Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtukhwa if PML-N won the upcoming general elections 2018.
Talking to media in Peshawar, Shahbaz Sharif said a large number of people had come out upon arrival of the arrival of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.
Shahbaz Sharif said Amir Muqam came to Lahore along with 3,000 workers. He said hundreds of PML-N workers were arrested during Nawaz Sharif’s arrival.
The president PML-N said the Caretaker government was taking Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) directives. He said the Punjab Caretaker government was supporting PTI.
In addition, he said National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was taking actions to push PML-N to the wall.
“We will win this election. People did not participate in yesterday’s rally of Imran Khan,” he added.
Earlier Shahbaz Sharif reached Peshawar airport wherein the Governor Khyber Pakhtukhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Amir Muqam and PML-N’s provincial leadership welcome him.
Shahbaz Sharif will visit Bilour House in Peshawar to condole the death of Haroon Bashir Bilour with his family.
