DERA GHAZI KHAN, Pakistan: The Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday lambasted on those levelling accusations of corruption against him in Multan Metro Bus project.

While addressing a public gathering at Gidar Wala Bypass after unveiling plaque of 55 kilometres long Dera Ghazi Khan-Muzaffargarh dual carriage road being built with a cost of Rs 13.38 billion in Dera Ghazi Khan, Shahbaz Sharif termed all corruption charges against him in Multan Metro Bus project baseless.

The Chief Minister said if even corruption of a single penny was proved against him, he might be held accountable for it, adding that anyone who had proofs, might move to the Court against him.

Shahbaz Sharif said if given a chance again, they would build Metro in Dera Ghazi Khan too.

The Punjab Chief Minister said Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) had put the Country on the path of progress and prosperity while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan was following agitational politics.

Moreover, Shahbaz Sharif also criticized Imran Khan for not appearing before the Courts as the PTI Chief always preached people about due respect to the judiciary.

Shahbaz Sharif asked Imran Khan to take care of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where his party was ruling, adding that when the province was recently hit by dengue outbreak, he (Imran Khan) was enjoying himself in hilly areas.

The Chief Minister said the Punjab government extended offer to help the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for checking outbreak and treatment of patients falling prey to the disease. He said the Punjab government had taken number of steps to control dengue in the province.
