ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday ordered the removal of names of the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto from the JIT report and Exit Control List (ECL), and referred the Fake Bank Accounts Case to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) with directives to complete the re-investigation within two months.
The directives were issued by a three-Judge Bench of the Supreme Court headed by the Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan in its short order after hearing of Fake Bank Accounts Case in Islamabad on Monday.
The Court also ordered to remove names of PPP leader Farooq Naek and members of his family, as well as Anwar Mansoor Khan’s brother.

However, the Apex Court ruled that NAB may summon any person as part of the investigation if required. The Court also remarked that the bureau may also summon Murad Ali Shah and Bilawal Bhutto for an independent investigation.
The Supreme Court directed the accountability bureau to initiate the re-investigation against all suspects in the light of the JIT report. It gave a two-month deadline to NAB to complete the investigation process and also file a reference afterwards if it deems it necessary.
The Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan and lawyers of Bilawal Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari, Omni Group and the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) were also present in the Court when the short order was announced.
