ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday dismissed all review petitions filed by Sharif family against the Apex Court’s judgment in Panama Papers Case on July 28, 2017.

The five-member bench of the Supreme Court led by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and consisting of Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Ijaz Afzal Khan, Justice Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan announced the decision in Panama review petitions Case at 11:00 am in Court Room No 1 of the Supreme Court.

Earlier while hearing of the Case, Sharif family’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s lawyer Shahid Hamid gave their arguments in the Supreme Court in favour of their respective Clients against the Panama verdict.

During the course of hearing, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa remarked that they had written the Panama judgement with Carefulness.

Justice Khosa asked Salman Akram Raja to trust the judges implicitly as the latter had taken oath to protect basic rights and the Constitution.

Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said the Trial Court would gave its judgment based on evidences.

Later the bench reserved its decision in response to review petitions filed against Panama judgment.

Earlier on Thursday, the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Khawaja Haris completed his arguments before the Court.

In its judgement in Panama Papers Case, then five-member bench of the Supreme Court disqualified the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif under article 62(1)(f), and also directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file references against Sharif family including the former prime minister and the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

However, Sharif family as well as Ishaq Dar raised their reservations regarding the judgement and filed review petitions in this regard.
