PoliticsSC issues release orders for Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday ordered to release former President Pervez Musharraf, a day after his bail plea was accepted in a case pertaining to veteran Baloch politician Nawab Akber Bugti’s murder.

Earlier in the day, an application was filed in the Islamabad High Court, asking it to put the name of former president on the exit control list (ECL).

Haroon Rasheed, son of Abdul Rasheed Ghazi who was slain in Lal Masjid operation in Islamabad, filed the application and he prayed before the court that the former president should be stopped from travelling abroad as he was allegedly involved in the murder of his father.

Rasheed asserted in his application that if Musharraf went abroad it would be difficult to bring him back.
