ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday morning.

The Prime Minister conveyed his greetings to the leadership and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan.

He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close and cordial relations and that it would be the endeavor of his government to take the bilateral relations to new strategic heights.

The Prime Minister said that Saudi Arabia is home to 1.5 million Pakistanis who contributed heavily for the development of the country through their about 3.7 billion dollars remittances per annum.

The Prime Minister appreciated that the Saudi leadership has always stood by the people of Pakistan during challenging times. He also lauded Saudi Arabia’s important role in promotion of global peace and stability.

The Prime Minister conveyed his sincere prayers for the good health of King Abdullah.
