LAHORE/PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) disgruntled leader Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa on Friday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa joined PTI after he met the Party’s Chairman PTI Imran Khan and other leadership in Lahore.

Talking to media after the meeting, Imran Khan welcomed Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa on joining PTI while the latter expressed complete trust on the PTI leadership.

Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa also remained the Senator from March 2012 to March 2018 and the Punjab government from August 17, 1999 to October 12, 1999.

Sources said that Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa’s son and the former Chief Minister Punjab Dost Muhammad Khosa is also likely to join PTI.

Parliamentary Committee formed to nominate Caretaker CM KPK

Meanwhile, a six-member Parliamentary Committee including three members each from the government and the opposition has been constituted to nominate a person for the Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Spokesman Shaukat Yousafzai said that Shahram Khan Tarakai, Atif Khan and Mehmood Khan have been included in the Committee from PTI while Mufti Fazal Ghafoor, Saleem Marwat and Mehmood Betni will represent the opposition in the Parliamentary Committee.

Shaukat Yousafzai said that the Committee would finalize a name for the Caretaker Chief Minister in three days. He said that it is likely that the Committee would reach a consensus over the issue.
