ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not attend the Joint Session of the Parliament in Islamabad on Thursday in which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would also address, the PTI Chief Imran Khan said.

Talking to media representatives in Banigala on Tuesday, Imran Khan said that the PTI would not participate the Joint Session and would continue to boycott the Parliament till the Supreme Court announced its verdict in Panama Papers Case.

Imran Khan said that the PTI didn’t accept Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister since his alleged involvement in Corruption surfaced in Panama Leaks.

“We welcome the Turkish president to Pakistan but at the same time, we do not want to endorse a prime minister who has broken the country’s law and has engaged in corruption,” Imran said.

The Joint Session of the Parliament will be held on November 17 at 1.30 pm in which the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who will arrive in Pakistan on November 16, will also address.

Imran Khan said that the Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Sadik Babur Girgin had requested the PTI to reconsider its decision of boycotting the Joint Session of the Parliament but they would stick to their earlier stance.

The PTI Chief further said that the government was changing stories in Panama leaks case. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should have resigned seven months ago.
