ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Welcoming the nomination of Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk as the Caretaker Prime Minister, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has congratulated him on being named for the Post saying that he is a respectable name.

In a statement issued on Monday, the PTI Central Information Secretary Fawad Chaudhry said that Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk is a suitable personality for the Caretaker Prime Minister.

Fawad Chaudhry said that Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk headed the Commission formed to investigate election rigging allegations. He said that Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk also presented about 80 recommendations to ensure the transparency of elections.

The PTI Central Information Secretary said that a lot of legal work has been done for transparent elections.

The PTI leader said that necessary administrative initiatives need to be taken to hold the general elections. He hoped that Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk would take such measures effectively.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the Chairman PTI Imran Khan and the entire party leadership congratulate Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk, and express best wishes for him.

Earlier in a Joint Press Conference in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan, Leader of the Opposition Syed Khursheed Shah and Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq announced the name of former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice (retd) Nasir-ul-Mulk as the Caretaker Prime Minister, and expressed the confidence that with his impeccable credentials, he would be able to hold general elections in a free, fair and transparent manner.
