PoliticsPTI welcomes IHC’s verdict, says era of collusion is over

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has said that all parties are bound to respect courts decisions, and said that courts are independent and delivering verdicts as per the law.

In response to the rejection of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s bail plea by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday, the Central Media Department PTI Central Secretary Information Omer Sarfaraz Cheema said that the verdict has reinforced the notion that no deal or relaxation is possible any more.

Omer Cheema said that the era of collusion and tug of war is over now.

The PTI Central Secretary Information also asked the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Pervez Rasheed to unveil the name of the person who had promised them any deal or relaxation.

Omer Sarfaraz Cheema also said that Nawaz Sharif has now no option but to return the looted money.

Earlier in the day, a two-member IHC bench comprising Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani dismissed the bail petition of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Al-Azizia Steel Mills Reference, saying the petition for bail on medical grounds was lacking merit.

Talking to media after the verdict was announced, the PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan said that the Islamabad High Court rightly rejected the bail petition.

Senator Faisal Javed said that there must be one law for rich and poor alike. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan would never give deal to anyone.
