PoliticsPTI, PPP have same stance over Nawaz’s resignation: Qureshi

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that both the PTI and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have the same stance over the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report, and demand Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign immediately.

While talking to media in Islamabad on Tuesday, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also supported the PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s stance.

Qureshi said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has lost the political and ethical reason to remain in his office. He said that the prime minister had said he would resign without any delay if he was found guilty, and now he should stand by his words.

The PTI leader said that we will not let the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government be political martyred.

Earlier, Shah Mehmood Qureshi called on the Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah met in Islamabad and reviewed the situation after the presentation of JIT report in the Supreme Court a day ago in Panama Papers Case.

The PTI leader also contacted the Mujtahid Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar. During the talks, both the leaders discussed the current political situation in the Country.
