ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalized the names of the former Inspector of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani and renowned analyst Dr Hassan Askari for the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab.

Their names were finalized after the consultation among PTI top brass.

However, Nasir Durrani refused to become part of the interim government.

Earlier on Wednesday, PTI withdrew the name of the former bureaucrat Nasir Saeed Khosa for the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab after submitting to pressure on social media.

Later Nasir Khosa also excused himself for assuming the Office of the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab in the interim setup.

For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the PTI has already named Himayatullah and Ejaz Qureshi for the Caretaker Chief Minister.
