ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has dismissed the allegations leveled by the President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif, terming them baseless and condemnable.
Shahbaz Sharif had earlier remarked while talking to media outside the accountability court that the government wasn’t taking Nawaz’s health issues seriously, and if something happened to the former prime minister, Imran Khan Niazi and the PTI government would be held responsible.

In a response to Shahbaz Sharif’s allegations, the PTI Information Secretary Omar Sarfaraz Cheema said that Sharif family has put all focus on politicizing ailment of Nawaz Sharif.
Sarfaraz Cheema said that Sharif family will be responsible solely if, God forbid, something happens to Nawaz Sharif.
“It doesn’t seem as per their words that Sharif family is serious about the treatment of Nawaz Sharif”, he went on to add.
The PTI Information Secretary reiterated that Nawaz Sharif was given facilities to continue treatment of his own choice despite while millions in this Country cannot avail the facility.
Continuing his criticism against Sharifs, he added, “Instead of exhibiting seriousness, their efforts are for blackmailing the government.”
Moreover, he said that Nawaz Sharif was a convicted criminal and the government is not authorized to allow a prisoner to move abroad except the Court.
“Shahbaz should tell his brother to act responsible, by not allowing doctors to treat him in hospital Nawaz Sharif is putting pressure on courts so he can run away”, he remarked.
Nawaz Sharif, he added, has been offered best health facilities and his surgery can easily be done in Pakistan by expert doctors available. He clarified that the authorities have also allowed Sharif to call foreign physician in Pakistan.
The PTI Information Secretary suggested Shahbaz Sharif, being as a wealthy person, to call physician on his expenses for his brother without waiting for the government’s decision in this regards.
