PoliticsPTI hands over its Senate Seats to CM Balochistan for Chairman Senate

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday announced that all PTI Senators would throw their weight behind the incumbent Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo to elect a new Chairman Senate.

Speaking to media persons at Balochistan House in Islamabad after meeting a delegation of newly-elected independent Senators from Balochistan led by the Provincial Chief Minister, the Chairman PTI Imran Khan announced that the party would try to stonewall attempts by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in its efforts to appoint the Chairman Senate from the ruling party.

Imran Khan said he wished that the next Chairman Senate should belong to Balochistan as, he added, in order to address the grievances of Balochistan, the deprived province must be given chances. Therefore, he said, PTI had decided to hand over its Senate Seats to the Balochistan Chief Minister.

“PML-N is hell bent upon crippling state institutions. Whole PML-N is committed to safeguard Sharif mafia’s corruption,” Imran Khan said.

“We are concerned that if the Senate Chairman is from the PML-N, they may enact laws to safeguard the Sharif family from the charges of corruption they face.”

Moreover, the Chairman PTI congratulated Mir Quddus Bizenjo for his election as the Balochistan Chief Minister. He lauds the Balochistan Chief Minister for the historic in House change in the Balochistan assembly.

The Balochistan Chief Minister thanked the Chairman PTI for extending the support.
