ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided not to allot tickets to its lawmakers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly who sold their vote in recent Senate Elections.

In a statement, the PTI Spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said on Monday that PTI doesn’t need those lawmakers who sold their vote for the sake of money.

Fawad Chaudhry said that practical steps will be taken after the investigation.

Earlier in the day talking to media in Karachi, the Chairman PTI Imran Khan also said that the lawmakers changed their loyalties in Senate Elections which negated the democratic norms.

Imran Khan admitted that PTI lawmakers also sold their votes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly after being offered bribes.

The Chairman PTI said that an investigation is under into the matter, and soon they will find out that who sold their votes. He said that as per their information, a provincial lawmaker sold his conscience for Rs 4 Crore, adding that actually responsibility lies with the institutions like NAB, FIA and Election Commission to probe the matter.

Meanwhile sources citing the finding of an initial investigation carried out following the Senate Elections 2018 under the directive of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak into alleged horse trading in the KPK assembly said that at least 17 PTI lawmakers allegedly sold their votes and favored Candidates backed by others than their own party during the polls.

It is also worth mentioning here that Imran Khan earlier had also questioned the success of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly where PPP though have just seven members but succeeded to get its two candidates elected as Senators.
