ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr. Arif Alvi has approved the appointment of three judges.

The president approved the appointment of Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Justice Naeem Akhtar is the Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court (BHC).

The president approved the appointment of Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan under Article 175 (A) 13 of the Constitution.

The appointment of Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar, the most senior judge of Balochistan High Court, as the Acting Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court was also approved.

President Arif Alvi approved the appointment of Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan as the Acting Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court under Article 196 of the Constitution.

In addition, the president also approved the appointment of Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed Khan as the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC).

Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmad Khan is the senior most judge of Lahore High Court.

His appointment was approved under Article 175 (A) 13 of the Constitution.
