KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has decided of presenting new Local Bodies (LB) Law Bill in Sindh Assembly today.
Once again, the PPP is all set to present Bill of new LB Law in Sindh Assembly this day but the main opposition party Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is also fully ready to oppose it.
Syed Sardar Ahmad, MQMs opposition leader in Sindh Assembly, has said that this new ill is in fact a duplicate of 1979’s local bodies’ system and if draft of the bill will be presented without any change before the assembly, they would protest robustly against that.
Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf leader (PTI), Syed Hafiz-ud-Din, has said that they would not be a part of any game and if bill will be presented without consultation, they would oppose that strongly.
Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) is also waiting for inclusion of its amendments in new Local Bodies Bill. PML-F leader Imtiaz Sheikh has said that if their amendments would not be added into the bill then they would see to it.
The PML-N has said that the PPP has assured it that bill would not be presented in Sindh Assembly on Tuesday (today). Irfanullah Marwat, PML-N leader, has said that his party favors PPP bill with some conditions.
