ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Central Information Secretary Dr Nafisa Shah on Friday said her party believed in democratic norms and was consulting with all political parties to elect its Chairman Senate through democratic means.
Her statement arrived as all mainstream political parties including PPP, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been engaged in political jockeying to elect the Chairman Senate of their own choice on March 12.
Nafisa Shah also responded to the Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, who in one of his tweets had taunted the Charmian PTI Imran Khan and the Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari for seeking ‘Halala’ to establish a political relationship through the Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo.

“PML-N itself is accustomed of ‘Halala’ as it ruled the Punjab province in the past on a stay order granted by the Court after forming a PML-Q forward block,” Nafisa Shah said.
The PPP Central Information Secretary said it would be better for Khawaja Asif to pay attention to his assigned duties as the foreign minister rather than serving to Sharif family.
Dr Nafisa Shah said PML-N was suffering from ‘Zardari phobia’ while its allies were also leaving the ruling party. She said PML-N had shattered into pieces, which was quite evident, observing their yelling.
