PoliticsPML-N won’t compromise on sanctity of vote: Nawaz Sharif

LAHORE, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would not compromise on the sanctity of vote, adding that their political rivals would face the worst defeats in the next general elections.

While talking to the member of Punjab assembly from PA-160 (Lahore-XXIV) Saiful Malook Khokhar who along with his son Faisal Saif Khokhar met him at his Raiwind residence, Nawaz Sharif said popularity of PML-N had increased over the past four-and-a-half years, and the ruling party would show good results in the 2018 general elections.

Nawaz Sharif said PML-N was as popular today as it was in 2013 general elections and the voters would repose confidence in it.

The former prime minister said he was satisfied with nomination of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif as the next prime minister, adding that both of them shared the same political vision.

The PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif was also present during the meeting.
