The former Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood has claimed that his party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has reached a political settlement with the establishment, and now it can make the government again in Punjab within two months.

Talking to media on Tuesday, Rana Mashhood said that our matters with the establishment have been resolved, adding that the President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif played an important role to resolve the matters.

Establishment is unhappy over Shahbaz Sharif being not elected as PM: Rana Mashhood

Rana Mashhood said that the establishment is unhappy with Shahbaz Sharif not becoming the Country’s prime minister.

The former provincial minister said that the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz’s attitude will remain harsh until the situation becomes better.

The PML-N leader said that the next months are of great significance, as in which, by-elections are to be held which may alter the results of 40 various Constituencies.

Though Rana Mashhood overtly denied having struck a deal with the establishment, but said that their issues have been resolved. He said that these are our institutions and there is nothing wrong if we negotiate with them.

In addition, he said that judgements on petitions filed by PML-N leaders are also expected in a few days to come.

Without naming anyone, the PML-N leader said that they have now understood that they wrongly backed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 2018 general elections. He said that those who won the elections were considered horses; however, they turned out to be mules.

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation.
