LAHORE, Pakistan: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has rejected the Accountability Court’s verdict against Sharif family in Avenfield reference, saying it was based on injustice and excess, and would be written in black words.

Earlier, the Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir sentenced the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to 10 years imprisonment and Maryam Nawaz to seven years imprisonment, and Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar to one year imprisonment in Avenfield reference.

While addressing a Press Conference, the PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif rejected the Accountability Court’s verdict against Sharif family in Avenfield reference, and announced to hold peaceful protests throughout the Country against unjustified decision.PML-N rejects Accountability Court’s verdict, announces peaceful protests

Shahbaz Sharif said that Nawaz Sharif’s name was not mentioned in Panama Papers and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) failed to produce any documented proof against him. He said that Nawaz Sharif along with his daughter appeared before the Court 109 times, and in the past, delivered efficiently for the Country.

The president PML-N also questioned the impartially of NAB, and said that now the people’s court would be held on July 25 when the people would also reject the decision against Nawaz Sharif. He said that he would go around the Country and convey their message to the masses.

Shahbaz Sharif said that they would present their case not only before the people’s court; rather, before Allah’s court also. He said that they would utilize all constitutional and legal means to get justice.

Shahbaz asked all Candidates of PML-N in general elections 2018 to record their peaceful protest against Accountability Court’s verdict. He also asked PML-N workers to stay calm and strive to follow the path of development, for which Nawaz Sharif always struggled and worked hard.

In reply to a question, Shahbaz Sharif dismissed the impression of Nawaz Sharif having imposed self-exile. He also said that PML-N would not boycott the upcoming elections.
