PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has strongly condemned excessive load shedding across the Country particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the holy month of Ramazan.
In a statement issued on Friday, Pervez Khattak said the government of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and both former prime ministers were directly responsible for power shortage and present load shedding.
“They misled the people by giving wrong figure of power generation”, he said.
Khattak said the PML-N government had cheated the people by saying thousands of megawatt electricity was produced in its tenure.
The former Chief Minister said on one hand people were deprived of electricity on other billions of rupees being paid to clear circular debt. He demanded audit and security of all power projects launched by the previous government.
Pervez Khattak also called on the caretaker setup to evolve effective load management strategy in order to give maximum relief to people in the sizzling months of summer.
The former Chief Minister KPK claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government would take rational steps to address power shortage if it came into power.
