GUJRANWALA, Pakistan: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Friday said the party workers had foiled all conspiracies of the opponents which were now afraid from popularity of Nawaz Sharif.

While addressing the Media Workers Convention in Gujranwala, Maryam Nawaz said the way the PML-N workers were advancing along with Nawaz Sharif, they had made the opponents to bite the dust.

Maryam Nawaz said the whole city converged at that place wherever Nawaz Sharif went because people loved him from the core of their hearts. She said even the public meetings proved to be short of space as people come in large numbers to prove the innocence of Nawaz Sharif.

The PML-N leader said Nawaz Sharif had emerged victorious due to his people-friendly policies, and the opponents had nothing to show to their voters as they had failed to complete even a single public welfare project. She said the opponents were yet in the stage of signing agreements whereas Nawaz Sharif had added 10,000 megawatts of electricity to the national grid.

Maryam said the opponents were busy in hatching conspiracies while Nawaz Sharif was making development plans for the next five years to serve the people.

Maryam Nawaz said Pervez Musharraf claimed that Nawaz Sharif had become part of history but now he himself seemed nowhere on the scene. She said nothing wrong was going to happen to Nawaz Sharif as blessings of Allah were with him.

The PML-N had secured more votes in all bye-elections after the Panama decision which showed that the people had not accepted the decision, she added.
