LAHORE, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to replace the Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in an effort to heal internal rifts among the party ranks.
Sources said that a five-member Committee has been formed to nominate a consensus candidate for the post.
The decision has been made when Prime Minister Imran Khan is in Lahore on a day-long visit.
However, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill has said that no such decision has been made yet but it’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s prerogative to decide whether he changes the Chief Minister Punjab or not.
In Lahore, the prime minister has held meetings with the Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sardar and the Chief Minister Usman Buzdar to discuss the political situation in the Country, administrative matters of the province, and progress on the ongoing development projects.

In his remark, the prime minister said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is confident and stable on the political front.
Sources further said that the government has flexed its muscles to thwart the no-trust motion submitted by the opposition against Prime Minister Imran Khan before March 20.
They said that the National Assembly Session will be summoned in next few days.
