Pakistan installs advanced biometric scanners at Pak-Afghan border

PESHAWAR: The most advanced biometric scanners have been installed at Pak-Afghan border to carry out search of vehicles, the initiative taken in the wake of Chaman bomb blasts, FC officials said on Wednesday.

The most advanced scanners are being used at Pak-Afghan border to search the vehicles crossing into Pakistan from Afghanistan, officials told Dispatch News Desk (DND).  The step has been taken in the wake of Chaman bomb blasts, they said.

According to them, the scanners would help curb entry of drugs, explosives and illegal items into Pakistan
