SUKKUR, Pakistan: The Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Monday said Parliament was the only pillar that could strengthen Pakistan.
Talking to media in Sukkur, Khursheed Shah said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) always kept on playing its role for the democracy.
The PPP senior leader said the politicians who escaped Courts and justice, disappeared from the system.
On Sunday, the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in a press conference in Islamabad demanded early elections in the Country, and also voiced his serious reservations over Khursheed Shah as the Opposition Leader.
Khursheed Shah said that if anyone more suitable for the position of Opposition Leader in the House was available, it was a good thing.
The Opposition Leader said he had honestly fulfilled his responsibilities as an Opposition Leader for four years. He said he had always tried to keep the opposition united.
The PPP leader said his advises were not for the specific person or party but for the national system.
Syed Khursheed Shah also criticized Imran Khan and said the PTI Chief should have sought apology from the Karachiites for hurting their feelings. He also said only Imran Khan could tell whether there was any deal or not, as he knew nothing about it.
