ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Finance Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Miftah Ismail has admitted that the party’s supremo Nawaz Sharif lost the February 8 election from Lahore’s NA-130 Constituency against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) incarcerated leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid.

In a recent ‘Nadeem Malik Live’ Program on Samaa News, Miftah Ismail said that PTI’s Barrister Salman Akram Raja also thrashed Awn Chaudhry of the Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party (IPP) in NA-128 Constituency in the elections.

Miftah Ismail said that they all know the reality that Salman Akram Raja won the polls but for the sake of stability, they are maintaining a silence over it.

“I don’t think Nawaz Sharif won the election,” he said maintaining that as per Form 45, the former three-time prime minister lost against Dr. Yasmin Rashid while Salman Akram Raja succeeded.

The PML-N leader also said that PTI also won all three seats in Islamabad in the general elections against PML-N.

Separately, talking to the Head of Investigative Cell at ARY News Naeem Ashraf Butt, the PML-N leader Shaikh Rohale Asghar – who lost the February 8 election against PTI’s Wasim Qadir – said that Shahbaz Sharif is a good administrator but not a politician.

Rohale Asghar said that the PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has formed an unnatural alliance which is in fact based in interests. He also criticized his opponent Wasim Qadir who betrayed PTI and went to associate himself with PML-N.
