ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Sirajul Haq’s talks about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) getting orders from the top to vote for Sadiq Sanjrani as the Chairman Senate was meaningful.
On Friday talking to media at Mansoora in Lahore, Sirajul Haq claimed that the PTI had voted for Sadiq Sanjrani following an order from the top. However, the PTI denied the allegation, and advised Sirajul Haq to quit the government alliance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if his party differed with PTI’s policies.
Talking to media today along with his daughter Maryam Nawaz at the Accountability Court in Islamabad wherein hearing of NAB references against Sharif family went underway, Nawaz Sharif said the Chairman PTI Imran Khan was reprimanding his lawmakers in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly but he should have reprimand himself too as who had ordered him to give vote in the Senate.
Nawaz Sharif said would Imran Khan tell how PTI’s Chaudhry Sarwar gained votes in the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-ruled Punjab assembly in the Senate Elections.
The former prime minister said only PML-N and its allies gave vote in the Senate Elections in a transparent manner.
