ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said how the people of Adiala Jail came to know that someone was coming as preparations had already been made there.

Holding informal talks with journalists at Accountability Court in Islamabad where hearing into Avenfield properties reference against the former prime minister and his family members resumed, Nawaz Sharif said the period of six months was given not for the completion of trial but for the announcement of the sentence.

In reply to a question regarding people shifting their political affiliation as recently eight lawmakers parted away from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif asked media representatives that they could see right now the people around him, and described them committed people.

Nawaz Sharif expressed hope that candidates willing to contest 2018 general elections should be free from National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) pressure.

In reply to another question, the PML-N Quaid said the entire nation knew everything about Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

Nawaz Sharif said Shahbaz Sharif did exemplary work in South Punjab while about Tehmina Durrani’s former Secretary Zubair Mehmood’s interview to a Private Channel, Nawaz Sharif declined to comment on that.
